Dialect Dataset
A data pipeline that turns a PDF dictionary into reviewable language pairs with confidence scores and a quality report.
01PDF→02Entries→03Pairs→04Quality
Context
A dictionary PDF encodes valuable structure through typography and entry order, while plain extraction mixes headwords, meanings and examples. A research dataset needs traceability for every pair.
How it works
Built stages for extraction, entry parsing, normalization and pair generation. Pydantic validates structure, while JSONL, CSV and a Markdown report preserve source context and confidence for review.
What it enables
An inconsistent source document becomes structured research material. Confidence fields direct attention to uncertain records without confusing automated processing with final linguistic judgment.
